Our Patriot Support Programs were born out of a great need: to support the U.S. Department of War and Veterans Administration. The strain of multiple deployments and separations has worn greatly on the bodies, minds and spirits of service members, veterans and their families.
About Patriot Support Programs
It is not uncommon for service members and veterans to struggle with depression, post traumatic stress (PTS), addiction or other behavioral health issues. We have spent the last several years expanding the locations and resources dedicated to military-specific behavioral health services. We continue to educate staff on military culture and sensitivities at all our Patriot Support locations to improve on consistent treatment with integrity and positive outcomes. We provide support for all Branches of the Military Services, their families and our Veterans.
Depression and other behavioral health issues are not just experienced by service members, but also by their families. Patriot Support Programs give back to the U.S. military veterans who have risked their safety and well-being so that we can enjoy the rights, liberties and opportunities granted by our nation.
In response to the present and growing need for high quality and intensive behavioral health services, we developed the Patriot Support Programs network of treatment centers, support staff and medical professionals dedicated to treating service members, veterans and their families.
UHS is proud to serve our military populations and their families through behavioral health facilities designated under Patriot Support Programs. We maintain close communication with referral sources and command, with the goal of returning all service members to full duty with honor. We’re proud to provide quality, specialized care to the military community.
Patriot Support Programs offer services to activity duty personnel as well as Guard and Reserve members in our facilities, which offer enhanced treatment options for both mental health and substance abuse treatment as well as Acute Crisis Stabilization. We also provide specialty care to Veterans. Our Acute Crisis locations address the immediate crisis and allow the service member to return to duty rapidly.
Patriot Support Programs support specialized military service centers and more than 190 other TRICARE® In-Network facilities, including TRICARE® In-Network residential treatment centers for children and adolescents.
